ISABELLA & SEAN
Tomales Bay, california wedding
This unreal Northern California wedding will be engrained in my heart for the rest of my days. From the very start, Sean & Isabella were adamant about cultivating an exceptional experience not only for their guests, but for each other. Having spent the majority of their upbringing and time together outdoors, it was important to bring in all of the earthy elements while feeling present and deeply connected to each other — they even went barefoot for their ceremony.
They kicked off their wedding with their rehearsal brunch at Hog Island Oyster Co. They rented a groovy Gillig bus to bring everyone up and down the coast of Tomales Bay, an absolute must from here on out! The best energy, Vino Verde, and the finest oysters were flowing along! The next morning they paddled out to surf with their closest friends before welcoming all their guests at their welcome party at The Lodge at Bodega Bay. The next day would be the most one of a kind wedding day I have ever documented — morning fog followed by bright sun just in time for ceremony among the knoll crest at The Haven. We got it all that day — fog, overcast, sun. It’s a good day when I get to shoot in every kind of lighting imaginable. It was an absolute party from cocktail hour on the lawn overlooking the pond and rolling hills to their indoor reception that took place in a beautiful rustic barn on the property, which was dressed up with lots of greenery, florals and market lights. The band Dart Collective created such a party on the dance floor, they skipped on cake cutting and danced the rest of the night away into the early hours!
I will never forget the way this day made me feel as both an artist and witness.
